Do You keep records of all drivers and vehicles used on your Company business?

Routinely, Record and act on the findings of Risk Assessment dealing with all aspects of driving at work including DRIVER SAFETY, VEHICLE SAFETY and JOURNEY PLANNING.

Do You record all incidents involving All Drivers and Vehicles on company Business?

Record every incident involving any vehicle driven on behalf of The Company and that Collective Information is regularly analysed and action taken to reduce reocurrence.

DRIVER SAFETY

Do You provide all Drivers with a Duty of Care Handbook explaining "Driving at Work" Instructions?

Provide all Driver's on company business with a Vehicles Duty of Care Handbook that includes road safety guidance and sets out individual driver responsibilities, in support of the company's policies and procedures, e.g. what to do in the event of an Accident.

Do You regularly check all business drivers are medically fit, trained and licensed?

Ensure that all People driving on behalf of The Company are Initially Vetted, Inducted and Regularly Assessed, to establish that they are Properly Licensed, Competent, Suitably Trained and Medically Fit to do so.

VEHICLE SAFETY

Do You choose vehicles that are fit for purpose with the best safety features?

Ensure that when Choosing Vehicles to be used on behalf of the Company, that they are Entirely Suitable for Their Intended Purpose and that utmost importance is placed on Safety Features.

Do You regularly check all business vehicles are taxed, tested and maintained?

Ensure that All Vehicles used on behalf of the Company are Regularly Inspected and Strictly Maintained using the Manufacturers Recommended Service Schedules (and if applicable in accordance with Operator licence requirements).

JOURNEY PLANNING

Do You monitor if all road journeys are necessary?

Check whether a Road Journey is Really Necessary - and encourage the use of alternative modes of Communication and or Transport where this is practical.

Do You ensure road journeys are scheduled to a realistic timetable with adequate rest periods?

Ensure that necessary Journeys are Scheduled to a Realistic Timetable and are planned to take into account the essential need for Adequate Rest Periods.
